Taqueria Cantina Matchbox

May 2017

As a packaging assignment, we were given a selection of local Seattle restaurants and tasked with creating a set of give-aways the customers could take home with them. I chose the Mexican restaurant, Taqueria Cantina to make a set of matchboxes with a Skeleton Mariachi Band member on the back of each one. I took use of the matchbox sliding form and placed the skeletons head on the inside container so that it would line up with the body as it is pulled out. Though each matchbox is a different color and has a different skeleton on the back, they are tied together with a consistent layout and pattern to create a cohesive look.

Here is the mood board I created for this project as well as early iterations.
